Seen this…

back then gold was cash and it’s value was fixed so no hope there. Gold was subsequently made illegal to own during a govt confiscation so you had to exchange it for paper dollars with small commission…so holding gold after that would have put you in jail….only one place that was profitable that I know of…it was by owning shares of the gold mining companys like homestead mining company and some others….they prospered with a high worldwide gold price….nowadays you could pile into a bear fund for medium term and prosper-like BEARX….IF another depression should happen, you would want to ‘outlast’ all the other peoples assets sales, because coming out of depression, those still with cash/assets will be the new leaders/rich and able to snap up all kinds of things…
